Patrick Kon

I am a 3rd year Computer Science Ph.D. Candidate at the University of Michigan (Ann Arbor), working with Prof. Ang Chen. I am broadly interested in security, systems, AI, and networking. My research spans internet censorship circumvention (check out our SpotProxy project and presentation videos), LLM-for-code, and cloud infrastructure management. Currently, I am focused on pioneering LLM-powered Agents for scientific discovery.

I enjoy working alongside and mentoring undergrad/grad (non Ph.D.) students as well. Most of my ongoing and past projects have involved significant contribution from undergrad/grad students within and outside the US. Do reach out if you’d like to work with me; I will have a project that you can participate in. I am also affiliated with a startup focused on childhood learning and mental health, which has open positions too.
